Martin Wolter received his diploma and doctor degree as well as the venia legend from Leibniz University Hannover in 2006, 2008 and 2012, respectively. From 2011 to 2015 he was head of the system operation concept development team at 50Hertz Transmission. Since 2015 he is director of the Institute of Electric Power Systems at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
